* 6542 high-speed steel metric taps have high hardness, good toughness, wear resistance and excellent cutting performance. Uncoated taps have only base substrate without any additional coating and are suitable for a wide range of applications.
* Machine taps are used with tapping machines, drilling machines, milling machines, CNC. Recommended feed speed: ordinary steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. Not recommended for tapping with hand drills and electric drills.
